The properly good Dropbox cloud service works like this: a special Dropbox folder is created; anything you place inside this special folder is automatically uploaded to the cloud and synced across all your devices; any file or folder that is placed inside the special Dropbox folder can be shared with others.

Boxifier enhances the functionality you get from the aforementioned Dropbox cloud service. It allows you to upload any folder you want to the cloud. Right click any folder you want, select “Boxifier – Sync with Dropbox” from the context menu, and that folder will be uploaded to your Dropbox. It won't be copied to your Dropbox folder and then uploaded to your dropbox! It will be sent directly to your Dropbox online cloud storage.

Download the Boxifier installer, run it, and a setup wizard will show up and guide you through the installation process. To start using Boxifier once the installation process completes, you will have to enter a license code. If you already have a premium license, enter it. If you don’t have a premium license, if you only want to test Boxifier, enter your email address and a free license code will be sent to your inbox.

Please note that Boxifier Free Edition allows you to sync just one local folder outside of Dropbox.
The features offered by Boxifier Premium Edition are free to try for 30 minutes. Three Premium Editions are available for purchase: Plus, Pro, and Business. It must be mentioned here that there's a Boxifier version for Windows Server.

Launch Boxifier and it will get Dropbox to launch as well. On Boxifier’s interface you will see a piece of text that says “right-click a folder to add it to Dropbox.” Do just that, right click a folder and pick “Boxifier – Sync with Dropbox” from the context menu, and the folder you select will be added to Boxifier’s interface. Of course, the folder you select will be uploaded to your Dropbox account.

Boxifier stays in the right click context menu at all times. While Boxifier is up and running, the context menu says “Boxifier – Sync with Dropbox.” And when Boxifier is not up and running, the context menu says “Boxifier is not running.”

Boxifier works with local drives, network drives, NAS devices, and external storage devices.

You don’t have to place a folder inside the special Dropbox folder to upload it to the cloud. Thanks to Boxifier you can upload any folder you want to your Dropbox account.

Pros

You can easily install Boxifier on your PC and you can easily get a free license. Boxifier’s interface is easy to use. Boxifier integrates with the right click context menu; use it to upload any folder you want to your Dropbox. Boxifier works with local drives, network drives, NAS devices, and external storage devices.

Cons

Boxifier Free Edition allows you to sync just one local folder outside of Dropbox.
